Revlon found a suitable name for this product that is that is neither a lipstick nor a gloss, “revlon lipglaze”.
It is a mixture between melted lipstick and gloss. It feels more like a lipstick on the lips but looks more like a gloss. I was very intrigued by some reviews on YouTube so, I’ve tried it myself. The shade I’ve chosen was Continuous Pink: a very light baby pink with gold reflex. The variety of shades is pretty large going form extremely light to very dark shades.
My reaction was to compare this Revlon lipglaze with other glosses like L’Oreal’s Infallible Lipgloss or MAC’s Lipglass. Infallible is more on the “waxy” side, but with a much longer staying power and the lipglasses are too sticky. But as I said, this product is something else. I don’t think there is something on the market to be compared with. The prices are between 8$ and 9$, depending on where you get them. The staying power is like one of a moisturizing lipstick). After an hour or so, the shine fades, but it leaves a very nice golden pink tint on the lips.

What do I love about Revlon lipglaze?
Well, it actually shows up on pigmented lips, it is not sticky as many glosses (like the MAC ones, for example). It is not drying at all. It smells and tastes ok, a subtle fruity scent. The texture is smooth and nice, not greasy or sticky. A unique, very pigmented formula.
Down sides? There is one thing I can complain about and that is the staying power. The product belongs to the ColorStay range which claims to be very longwearing. The other products from this range are truly strong products (ColorStay foundation or ColorStay liners, for example). This Lipglaze doesn’t seem to have that feature. It is meant to stay on the lips for up to 8 hours and actually it does for less than 4 (if you don’t eat).
Will I buy it again? I am curious about other shades. Overall this Revlon lipglaze is a good product and I think I will try other ones on sales.
