How to: Hide Imperfections Using MAKE-UP

Hide Imperfections Using MAKE-UP.

As we all know, make-up is used by us, common people to enhance beauty, but make-up can also be used to hide imperfections and correct them.

Using small but effective make-up tricks you can solve many problems that make you feel uncomfortable. The idea behind these tricks is to know how to use darker and lighter shades, to play with shadows and light. Here are some examples:

1. a prominent or longer nose: in order to hide imperfections on your nose, you need three make-up essentials, a lighter concealer or foundation, a darker shade of foundation or concealer and powder to set everything. You can skip powder if you want. The concealer must be applied in the centre of the nose and the dark foundation at the base of the nose. The light will hit the centre of your nose (where the lighter shade is) and its base will be hidden (where you have applied the darker shade). Longer noses will look shorter if you use the darker shade on the end of the nose.

2. small lips: use a lighter shade of foundation or concealer around the lips, the contour them with a liner very close to your natural lips colour to hide imperfections such as this. Then fill with lipstick using a brush for precision. Don’t use too dark or too light shades of lipstick, stick to pinks or neutrals. Apply gloss on top.

3. small eyes: you need to work with light pearly shades on the inner corner going towards the brow-bone and intense darker shades on the upper lid, following the lash line and the outer V. The dark shade should also reach half of the lower lash line, fading towards the inner corner.

4. rounded face: the problem can be solved using a highlighter and a contouring powder. As a highlighter you can use pearly peachy or pink blushes and as contouring powder you can use matt bronzer. The blush must be applied on the apples of your cheeks, going towards the corner of the eye and the matt brown shade on the hollow of your cheeks (the ones crated if you do the “fish face”), going towards the hair line to the ears. This trick is generally known as “contouring” technique and will help you create the illusion of a narrower, thinner face.

5. “hooded” eyes: the sleepy look of this kind of eyes can be improved by using a dark shade of liner (dark blue, grey, black) to contour the entire eye; than go with dark shadow on top, creating a thick line that will fade towards the upper lid. The lighter shade will be applied under the brow.

6. deep set eyes: these are usually round eyes with very obvious crease. Use the darker shade all over the upper lid (without any liner), but don’t go over the crease. You can create a small wing at the corners to lift the eye a little bit. Than use the lighter shade underneath the brow.

7. small bags under the eye: use a matt lighter shade of concealer or foundation around the lower lid and then draw a thick line with dark liner or shadow also on the lower lash line. That will help you cover the bags. Smokey eyes technique suits you very nice.

    31. To get that flawless look I’ve found that an all natural, tinted, mineral moisturizer and mineral foundation is key.
